Position Purpose
K’en T’em is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Geoscientist to join our team. As a Geoscientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing monitoring programs, conducting field investigations, developing management plans, preparing technical reports and presentations, conducting data analysis and interpretation, managing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Conducting detailed geological and geophysical studies and analyses,
Developing and interpreting geological models using advanced software tools,
Providing expert recommendations based on geological data to support project development,
Developing and implementing monitoring programs, Conducting modelling and analysis,
Preparing technical reports and presentations,
Managing project schedules and budgets, Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations,
Developing workplans and project budgets,
Supporting and leading field programs,
Conducting data collection, compilation, analysis and reporting,
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geological findings into broader project objectives,
Preparing detailed reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders,
Conducting environmental monitoring,
Staying updated with the latest developments in geoscience and apply new techniques to ongoing projects,
Ensuring all geological activities comply with industry regulations and standards,
Mentoring staff on reports within company needs,
Support with writing and submitting permits and authorizations, and
Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Manager or designate.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field,
Exceptional communication and report writing skills,
Professional Geoscientist certification,
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in geological assessment and project management,
Current knowledge of BC and Federal legislation, government agencies and permitting procedures,
Proficiency in geological modeling software such as Petrel, GeoGraphix, or similar,
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
Excellent communication and presentation skills,
Ability to work independently and part of a collaborative team.
